ANZAR

Design and handcraft of a rain watering can or “Chantepleure”.

« Anzar » : The Amazigh God of rain

When times were rough in the old Amazigh farm fields and the rain got rare, people turned to the god of rain « Anzar » with hope of better days. Some kept small pots of plants in their interior that they watered using a very clever and simple technique. This technique reduces water waste and gave the plants only the essential amount of water.  « Anzar » is a clay watering can inspired by this ancient technique and representing the god of rain in his dormant state waiting to be awakened when winter comes!
